Shamwari Eagles Crag Lodge is an avante-guard masterpiece of thatch, stone and glass for the most discerning of traveler who is looking for privacy and tranquility. Shamwari Eagles Crag houses its own Spa & facilities also include a dining area, library, business centre, lounge & bar. The lodge makes use of dwellings from the early 1800's that have since been restored to their original style. A multitude of animal species have been return to their rightful place in the Eastern Cape valley bushveld. Shamwari is in a malaria free area.

The lodge boasts an authentic African Experience, secretly hidden in a gorge, filled with temperate forest vegetation and looking out onto a cliff-face and riverbed. There are 9 detached luxury suites each with plunge pools on private decks, which are accessed through large fold-away glass walls. Each room has a raised wooden deck between all other rooms and public areas. Rooms include air-conditioning (hot & cold),ceiling fans, international direct dial telephones, indoor & outdoor shower facilities and a Mini-bar.
