The Sossusvlei Lodge is situated right at the entrance gate to the famous Sossusvlei and Sesriem Canyon. It is a mere 330km from Windhoek, 360km from Swakopmund and 506km from Lüderitz

All lights are solar-powered within the lodge and, as the 45 tent cum rooms have en-suite showers instead of baths, you can have a unique swim in the desert by splashing in the clear, cool pool. The rooms and bar have a marvelous desert view. Little has been sacrificed to luxury however. The restaurant has a fine German/ Namibian cuisine with fine South African wines.

The rooms have adobe walls, tiled floors and an elegant stretched-canvas roof; the en suite bathroom at the back has a flat roof from which you can enjoy the beautiful desert scenery and sunset. The living area is a labyrinth of rooms and spaces variously dedicated to relaxation, enjoyment, or a hearty good feed. The large pool, bar, and terrace look out over the waterhole as do the dining rooms and, as is its want, the observation tower.
