It is situated in a private area in the south east of the Okavango Delta, which borders the Moremi Game Reserve. Access into Chitabe Camp is only by aircraft.

Chitabe's eight spacious Meru-style tents are built on elevated wooden decks amongst the trees. One of the biggest assets Chitabe has to offer is its friendly and outstanding staff. Most of the staff working at Chitabe have been there since its inception seven years ago and it is this pride and loyalty that gives Chitabe its amazing atmosphere. It is known as the "Soul of the Delta" and they would like to invite you to experience their little oasis. The multiplicity of habitats by which Chitabe is surrounded means there is an abundance of wildlife to be seen, including elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, zebra, tsessebe and impala. Wild dogs are also occasionally sighted. Night drives provide opportunities for guests to see nocturnal mammals such as civet, serval, genet, porcupine and aardwolf.

Accommodation consists of eight spacious East African style tents built on elevated wooden decks, beneath a lush tree canopy. Each tented room has en-suite facilities with flush toilets and both outdoor and indoor showers. Hot showers are guaranteed anytime of day or night. The thatched dining area, lounge and pub are also raised on decks overlooking the surrounding flood plains. A pool allows guests to cool off from the heat of the day.

Activities include day and night game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, nature walks and spectacular birdwatching. Chitabe also has two elevated hides located in the reserve, one of which is within walking distance from the camp. Guests can experience a "sleep out" under the stars in full comfort and safety.
